The event took place in the Medallistas Hall of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and brought together national authorities, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and the event’s organizing team, led by César Marsal, CEO of the ueno Rally del Paraguay; Ricardo Deggeller, Deputy CEO; and members of the Executive Committee. Also in attendance were Rodrigo Maluff, Minister-Advisor to the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, and Camilo Pérez López Moreira, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee and member of the International Olympic Committee, who participated in the official opening of the event.
Rally Weekend serves as a key preparatory phase, during which each of the institutions involved presents its plans, defines procedures, and coordinates joint actions to ensure a safe and efficient operation throughout the competition.
Throughout the day, representatives from the National Army Forces, the National Police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Fire Department, the Highway Patrol, and the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare presented the operations planned for the event, addressing aspects related to security, traffic control, emergency response, medical assistance, interagency coordination, and public services. In addition, the Ueno Rally del Paraguay team officially opened the session by detailing upcoming operational updates.
The various presentations provided an opportunity to review protocols, strengthen communication channels between institutions, and advance the joint planning required for the competition, which is considered one of the largest sporting events the country will host this year.
The day also included a theoretical training session on 4WD driving, aimed at reinforcing the knowledge and tools needed for the operational work that the various teams will carry out during the Rally.
Rally Weekend activities will continue this Saturday, July 11, with a second day focused on preparing the guard rallies, who will play a fundamental role in guiding the public, providing logistical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of the various competition stages.
Through these efforts, the Local Organizing Committee continues to strengthen coordinated efforts between institutions and volunteers, consolidating a comprehensive plan that will ensure a safe, well-organized event that meets the international standards of the World Rally Championship.
