The Jesuit Mission in Trinidad provided the perfect setting for an evening where reflections on the 2025 event and expectations for the upcoming weekend were the main topics of conversation amongst drivers, co-drivers, teams, representatives from the FIA and the WRC, as well as the national authorities in attendance.
The President of the Republic of Paraguay, Santiago Peña; the Vice-President, Pedro Alliana; and the CEO of the WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay, César Marsal, led the welcome evening for the drivers who have arrived in Itapúa and are preparing for a week of intense preparation and competition in our country.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of Paraguay’s commitment to hosting a carbon-neutral rally. This commitment to sustainability once again positions the WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay as a competition that seeks to make a positive impact beyond the sport and to showcase the country as a regional leader in organising responsible international events.
In front of everyone present at the historic Jesuit mission, President Santiago Peña highlighted the progress made since the first edition and the challenge Paraguay undertook by joining the calendar of one of the world’s leading motorsport competitions.
The event, which once again brings together the leading figures and teams of the WRC, is thus gearing up for a second edition that aims to raise the bar set in 2025 and showcase to the world not only Paraguay’s organisational capabilities, but also its natural beauty, culture, talent and commitment to sustainability.
