This new group, comprising the automotive company Cosmobilis and the private equity firm Park Square Capital, will take charge of promoting the FIA World Rally Championship and the FIA European Rally Championship. It is headed by the French executive Eric Boullier, who previously served as team principal of the Lotus and McLaren Formula 1 teams and will now become Chief Executive of WRC Promoter GmbH.
Regarding the agreement: this was announced on 31 July and was described by the FIA, the governing body of the WRC, as the “biggest deal in the history of these championships”.
The press conference, which took place at the WRC Media Centre during the 2026 ueno Rally del Paraguay, attended by journalists and representatives from the FIA and WRC Promoter, was addressed by Mr Eric Boullier, the new CEO of WRC Promoter; His Excellency Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the International Automobile Federation; and Jean-Louis Mosca, CEO of the Park Square Capital investment group.
During the press conference, changes and desired developments resulting from a joint effort between the FIA and the World Rally Championship Promoter were announced.

When asked about his vision for Paraguay, the FIA President replied succinctly with the exact words quoted above, making it clear that the WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay – is set to continue showcasing the world’s best rally to every corner of the globe for some time to come.
