Logically, no spectator at the WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay is prepared to step in as the next driver should the registered crew be unable to continue – that’s impossible. However, there are safety measures which, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, must be observed by everyone when enjoying the Best WRC Event (of 2025) on the red dirt.
Spectator areas: your safe space:
It’s not a case of ‘but I want to go further’, ‘the view’s better on the other side’, or anything like that. These areas have been designated so that you can enjoy watching the cars pass by without putting your safety at risk; do not leave them until the day’s events are over and enjoy the motorsport spectacle safely. These areas are marked out by green tape.
Arriving early is key to your plan:
The stages close well in advance to ensure every spectator is correctly positioned in their respective sectors; arriving early also allows you to enjoy the spectacle to the full; all stages are free to access, though only the premium sectors incur a charge. Find out more in this section of our website.
The marshals: a key element
They are the direct link to Race Control, constantly reporting back to them on the situation on the stages; good behaviour from the public during the special stages makes everyone’s job SO MUCH easier. Following the instructions they give you for your own safety also shows that you’re a good fan.
Additional note: Do not intervene in an accident
Competitors have special mechanisms in their vehicles to alert the organisers whether they are unharmed or require assistance. In both cases, the necessary protocols are activated to ensure the safety of the crew involved by neutralising the race, so that it can resume as soon as possible.
