As these were completely free practice sessions, the crews completed up to nine laps or more; drivers such as Alejandro Cachón (Toyota), Robert Virves (Škoda), Yohan Rossel (Lancia), Romet Jurgenson (Ford) and Yuki Yamamoto (Toyota), amongst others from abroad, took part during the day.
Among the local drivers, those taking part in these tests included Diego Domínguez Jr. (Toyota), Andrea Lafarja (Toyota), Mauricio González (Škoda), Gustavo Saba (Toyota), Augusto Bestard (Toyota), Eugen Gotze (Škoda) and Miguel Zaldívar Jr. (Škoda), to name but a few. All of them compete in the RC2 class.
Some of the RC4 cars were also tested (by Raúl Szarán and Pedro Lgravay), as were some from the RC3 class (Nataniel Bruun and Ghjuvanni Rossi).
It won’t be long now before they move on from simply testing the cars to battling against the clock. The Red Gravel Rally is just a few days away.
