The minister was received by Edward José Fraenkel Moreno, General Coordinator of Airport Facilitation and Management of the National Civil Aviation Authority (DINAC), with whom she discussed the actions underway to optimize the airport’s operations and ensure an adequate experience for visitors, international delegations, and technical teams arriving in the country.
“We are working in a coordinated manner to ensure that every point of entry into the country is up to the standard of this historic event. Encarnación Airport will be a key gateway for tourism and logistics for the rally,” said Minister Duarte.

Encarnación Airport is part of the Rally Legacy Plan, a strategy that seeks to leave lasting benefits for the region. Thanks to the improvements promoted within the framework of the WRC, the city will have regular air connectivity, strengthening its position as a tourist destination and venue for international events.
The WRC ueno Rally del Paraguay 2025 will take place from August 28 to 31, with its epicenter in the department of Itapúa, and will mark Paraguay’s official debut as host of the FIA World Rally Championship, on its tenth date on the international calendar.
The visit is part of a series of inter-institutional coordination actions that seek to ensure the success of the event, both in terms of sports and tourism, consolidating Paraguay as a destination ready to welcome the world.
