The meeting was attended by representatives from the institutions that make up the LOC, including Alejandra Duarte Albospino, Deputy Minister of Communication at the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC), who serves on the Executive Committee of the Paraguay Rally.
During the meeting, progress was made on the operational, logistical, and communications planning for two of the competition’s most iconic moments, which will draw thousands of fans and be followed by millions of viewers worldwide through the various broadcast platforms of the World Rally Championship (WRC).
The 2026 edition of the ueno Rally del Paraguay will take place from August 27 to 30 in the department of Itapúa and is shaping up to be one of the most challenging and spectacular events on the global calendar. The route includes 22 timed stages, establishing it as the longest rally in the 2026 World Rally Championship in terms of competitive distance.
In addition to its sporting impact, the event represents a unique opportunity to promote Paraguay’s image on a global scale, showcasing its organizational capabilities, the beauty of its landscapes, the hospitality of its people, and the region’s tourism and economic potential.
The Local Organizing Committee emphasized that every aspect of coordination aims to ensure international standards of excellence, safety, and experience for competitors, teams, the media, and visitors.
The ueno Rally del Paraguay is part of the country’s international positioning strategy, generating global visibility and strengthening the country’s brand through one of the most important sporting events on the planet.
With the countdown underway, Paraguay is preparing to welcome the world once again and demonstrate that it is up to the task of hosting major international events. The challenge is already underway: to organize the best edition of the longest rally on the 2026 World Rally Championship calendar and turn it into a true celebration of sports, tourism, and national development.
